Blue light is used for treatment of skin condition. 
 
Blue light is used for treatment of skin conditions like acne and Red Light being normally used for skin and soft tissue issues.
 
The Blue Light wavelengths of   between 400 and 475nm pass through the epidermis skin layer to effectively kill the acne bacteria. Blue Light can often have almost immediate effects on pimples, and stops other related skin conditions like blackheads from getting worse; often a combination of both red and blue light is used. The blue light kills the acne bacteria, and the red light closes the pores and soothes the skin. It can also be used for skin issues that are fungal in nature.
 
Because the body’s immune system stops producing the  antibodies it needed to fight the acne bacteria; many clients have also seen an almost immediate reduction in inflammation.
 
Our own findings when working with horses have shown great success when dealing with skin problems that are  fungal in nature. The effect on such equine skin conditions are the same as above, the light appears to attack the DNA of the specific problem.
